The Junior Executive Business Program for Diverse Students at Ohio University

Your senior year of high school is full of important decisions. You will take the first steps toward achieving your career goals by choosing a college and a major. Through the Junior Executive Business Program for Diverse Students, the Ohio University College of Business will help you prepare for the future and for making these important decisions.

The Junior Executive Business Program for Diverse Students is an eight-day collegiate experience geared toward high school juniors from disproportionately represented cultural backgrounds who want to major in business when they go to college, and invites them to participate in a real college experience on the campus of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. This exciting week-long program will take place June 21-28, 2008.

The program allows you to learn about different courses of university study offered after high school. From finance to information technology, from marketing to pre-law, world-class faculty members will give you the opportunity to experience each major offered by the Ohio University College of Business in a classroom setting.

In addition to discovering the majors, you will attend workshops on applying to college, securing financial aid, managing your time, and succeeding in business. The program will allow you to experience life in a residence hall, visit campus cultural centers and, most importantly, gain insight from current college students.

Room, board, and program fees will be covered. You will need to provide personal spending money and *transportation.

With the exception of some Columbus public schools, students must provide their own transportation to-and-from Athens.
